In my 40 years as a holistic health teacher, I have had many yoga students and teachers in my classes. For a few years in the ‘80s, the Ohashi Institute shared space with teachers from Integral Yoga Institute while their ashram in New York City was renovated. They offered yoga classes every day in our classrooms which gave me the opportunity to observe the students and teachers. I saw that many of the asanas stretched the same meridians we use in Eastern bodywork. This experience gave me the idea that working on the meridians would be a way to help a yoga practitioner stretch further and comfortably into certain poses. Let me know what you think of my idea and if you find this DVD helpful.
